Olivia Dean ties Alex Warren for UK chart record thanks to Sam Fender duet

Olivia Dean's duet with Sam Fender, "Rein Me In" — which just made Spotify's list of "songs of the summer" contenders — has tied a chart record set last year by Alex Warren.

The song has notched a 13th week at #1 on the U.K.'s Official Singles Chart. As per Billboard, "Reign Me In" is now tied with Alex's "Ordinary" as the longest-running song of the 2020s. Until Alex broke it in 2025, the previous record was 11 weeks, held by Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits."

"Rein Me In" is a song that Sam originally recorded for his album People Watching. It was then released as a remix with Olivia singing on it; the two have also performed the song live onstage together.

So far, "Rein Me In" has yet to have the same success in the U.S. But Olivia is doing just fine on her own, with two massive hits: "Man I Need" and "So Easy (To Fall in Love)." She brings her The Art of Loving tour to the U.S. July 10 in San Francisco.

Madonna reveals her 'best' lover was this late icon

Madonna (Rafael Pavarotti)

Madonna's romantic life is the stuff of legend, but she's willing to name one of her past lovers as being the "best" — with one important caveat.

The Queen of Pop sat for a short video NSFW conversation with several gay friends for the LGBTQ+ dating app Grindr, including her former opening act Bob the Drag Queen, designer Raul Lopez and playwright Jeremy O. Harris. During the conversation, Madonna was asked who her best lover was — except the word "lover" was not used, if you know what we mean.

"Oh my God," Madonna says. "I'm gonna only name dead people." She then whispers, "John Kennedy Jr."

Raul Lopez notes that "everyone says" the late attorney and publisher, who died in 1999, was good in bed, adding that Madonna is "the third person" to say that, as she nods in agreement.

Madonna also reveals that her "post-coital room service order" is a club sandwich, her "sex playlist" is mostly classical music, and that she feels the "Mother" nickname given to her by the LGBTQ+ community has a lot to do with being "protective."

"When I first came to New York and started seeing — especially at the beginning at the AIDS epidemic, I saw how s*** people were to gays, and that's all I wanted to do is take care of them and fight for them and give them courage," she says. "When I was coming up, they were my ride-or-dies. I didn't feel judged by them."

To which Bob the Drag Queen replies, "That's impressive, to not be judged by the judgiest group in the world!"

Noah Kahan performs at CMA Fest. (Disney/Larry McCormack)

Summer is fast approaching, so what songs are going to soundtrack the season?

Spotify has released its list of predictions for song of the summer and is allowing fans to vote on their favorites within the Spotify app.

Making the list this year are Ariana Grande’s newly released single “hate that i made you love me,” Zara Larsson’s “Midnight Sun,” Noah Kahan’s “Doors,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “drop dead” and Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas.”

Also in the running are Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s “Rein Me In,” PinkPantheress’ “Girl Like Me,” Dominic Fike’s “Babydoll,” Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings,” Bebe Rexha and Faithless’ “New Religion,” and Tame Impala and JENNIE’s viral hit “Dracula - JENNIE Remix.”

“I think above everything, we all know that a song of the summer is about the vibes,” Spotify's Talia Kraines says in a statement. “It’s a song that makes you feel good, that you can listen to outside in the sunshine with your friends, and that has the ability to travel across genres, people, and countries.”

Olivia Rodrigo addresses rumors of Taylor Swift feud: 'It was so long ago'

Olivia Rodrigo performs at the Disney Advertising Upfront, May 12, 2026 in New York City. (Disney/Michael Le Brecht II)

Following the release of her debut album, SOUR, Olivia Rodrigo retroactively credited Taylor Swift as a songwriter on the song "deja vu" because it sounded similar to Taylor's hit "Cruel Summer." That led to rumors of a yearslong feud between the two artists, which led to speculation that they'd buried the hatchet in April, when they were spotted at the same concert. Olivia's addressing the topic in a new episode of The New York Times' Popcast.

The interviewer asks Olivia, "Is there a frost between you and Taylor? Like, is that something that hovers over your mind? [Or] is it something that you think is a construction of the people who are doing internet detective work? How do you view that, now that you're a few years removed from the initial ... ruptures?"

Olivia sighs heavily, and then says, "Um, I don’t know. I think I try to not let it get to me or upset me. I think I just try to keep it truckin’. I think there's no — it was so long ago, there’s no use in harping on it."

"I just try to make songs that I love and try to be kind and good to other people and supportive of other people," she continues. "And I've always, like, tried to be like that. And at the end of the day, I think that’s all you can do.”

As for online "internet detectives" speculating about that and other aspects of her life, Olivia says, "I think it, like, comes with the territory and it's par for the course. And I think if I dove into every internet detective sleuth that, like, got things right or wrong about my life or any of my relationships, I think I'd just go crazy. Like, there's not enough time in the day."

Ariana Grande, 'hate that i made you love me' (Katia Temkin)

Ariana Grande's new era has officially started.

The first single from her upcoming album, petal, is called "hate that i made you love me," and is out now. While the song could be addressed to a romantic partner, it could also be aimed at haters, the public in general, or fans who have parasocial relationships with her.

"I've held your projections when you've felt so insecure/ Tell me, why is it this way?/ Why you so hate to see women endure?" she sings. "Is it really my fault you all gave me your hearts of your own accord?/ I don't really think so."

She also sings, "What's happening now?/ You studied my crown and borrowed my body."

In a message on her Instagram Story, Ariana described the track as "one of my favorite songs I'll ever give to you ... the greatest fans in the entire world and i am simply feeeeeeling it my goodness my heart."

Play me your favorite song: Corinne Bailey Rae's ready to launch 20th anniversary tour

Corinne Bailey Rae (Ulrike Rindermann)

Corinne Bailey Rae launches a tour Friday in celebration of the 20th anniversary of her 2006 self-titled debut album, which spawned the hit "Put Your Records On" and earned her four Grammy nominations. As Corinne told ABC Audio, she wanted to mark the milestone because that album everything for her.

"Going from playing in a bar to a hundred people to sort of getting a phone call from Stevie Wonder, or Prince coming to our show, or Elton John sending me champagne," she recalls. "Those things — really that song in particular, 'Put Your Records On' — and the popularity of that record, it really changed my life and my work."

"And so I knew the anniversary was coming but I wanted to do something special for it," she adds.

As for the set list, Corrine says she plans to play the album in its entirety, adding, "We'll maybe do like a catch-up on the end, and I'll probably say, 'If you have to leave for your babysitter, that's fine. But we're also gonna play a what you might have missed kind of thing.'"

Some parents, however, won't have to worry about babysitters because they're bringing their children along. According to Corrine, "Put Your Records On" has found a whole new generation of listeners.

"I'm so grateful for that," she says, adding that she's "so moved" that there are 7- and 9-year olds in the audience even if they don't always make it through the whole show.

"You definitely have a lot of lovely sweet kids on the front row who are just nodding off by the time you get to 'Put Your Records On,'" she says. "And their mum's, like, poking them: 'This is why you came!' And sometimes they wake up and sometimes they don't."

One of Taylor Swift's opening acts confirms she's going to Taylor's wedding

People who you'd assume would be invited to Taylor Swift's wedding have been cagey about whether or not they're actually attending. Talk show host Graham Norton has joked that he had to sign an NDA, for example, and Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he'd "probably" been invited and would go "if I don't outgrow my tuxedo." But now we've got our first case of a celebrity confirming that she's actually attending the nuptials.

Model, actress and singer Suki Waterhouse, who opened for Taylor during the Eras Tour in London, tells Variety, "I’m gonna go to Taylor’s wedding, and maybe I’ll get some inspiration. It will be amazing.” Suki was talking about her own wedding to her partner, Robert Pattinson. The two share a 2-year-old daughter.

Sadly, Suki didn't reveal where and when the wedding is taking place. But she did say of Taylor, "Knowing her as a friend, she’s actually been through so much. And I think the thing I always see in her is how she pulls herself through every time, and how everything that’s ever happened to her becomes another piece of art that becomes part of the legacy. That’s so inspiring — that’s the artist that you want to be.”

Suki's third album, Loveland, comes out July 10. Her collaborators include Taylor's frequent collaborator Aaron Dessner and legendary Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood. Suki starred in Daisy Jones & the Six, the Prime Video series about a band loosely based on Fleetwood Mac.

Buy Olivia Rodrigo's mini hospital room from 'the cure' video

Olivia Rodrigo, 'the cure,' (Geffen Records)

At the end of Olivia Rodrigo's video for "the cure," we see that the operating room Olivia ends up in is actually a diorama made of cardboard and string, which the "real" Olivia crushes with her foot. If you want to reenact that scene in real life, now you can — thanks to Etsy.

Olivia has teamed with an Etsy creator called Macy Mae Designs, who has created a diorama of the operating room. It comes unassembled with all the pieces you need to recreate it, including the wallpaper, checkered flooring, two tiny shelving units with bottles, a hospital bed and an itty-bitty heart made of felt resting on a medical tray.

The project, described as "part collectible, part craft project, and part display piece," is perfect for that Livvie in your life, or, as the maker's webpage notes, "anyone who appreciates a tiny world with a little heartbreak, healing, and imagination woven in." Each room costs $149.

In the video, Olivia is a nurse in the cardboard hospital who tries to cure her heart by injecting it with various antidotes, but she ends up on the operating table, hooked up to multiple hearts.

Despite rumors, filmmakers say Taylor Swift hasn't done the end title song for 'Toy Story 5'

Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) in 'Toy Story 5.' (Pixar)

The filmmakers behind Toy Story 5 are shooting down rumors that Taylor Swift has written the movie's end title song.

On April 30, Taylor posted — and then removed — a countdown on her website that seemed to be Toy Story-coded. It featured blue skies, white clouds and the same shade of yellow used in the franchise's branding.

When fans noticed that Toy Story 5's release date, June 19, also marks the 20th anniversary of her debut single, rumors flew that Taylor was somehow involved in the franchise's latest installment.

But in a new interview, Toy Story 5 director Andrew Stanton says of the rumors, "It surprised us. We'd be frickin' honored." Producer Lindsey Collins adds that having Taylor involved would "be pretty amazing."

"The sad truth is, we watched the movie being mixed last week, done, and the song on the end of that was not Taylor Swift's song," Stanton clarifies.

Of course, that doesn't preclude the movie from featuring a Taylor tune somewhere, since he specifically said "the song on the end." Guess we'll have to wait until June 19 to find out.

The mystery of the disappearing countdown, however, has yet to be explained.

Olivia Rodrigo says babydoll dress criticism is 'disturbing'

Olivia Rodrigo performs on stage during an exclusive Billions Club Live show to celebrate the partnership between Spotify and FC Barcelona before El Clásico on May 8, 2026 in Barcelona, Spain. (Xavi Torrent/Getty Images for Spotify)

Olivia Rodrigo has recently been wearing babydoll dresses, which are a callback to outfits worn by female artists in the '90s alternative rock scene, including Hole's Courtney Love or Bikini Kill's Kathleen Hanna. Speaking to the New York Times Popcast, she says the criticism that she's gotten for wearing them is both upsetting and "disturbing."

When asked about the topic, Olivia said, "That’s been making me so upset. Not even for me. ...People can say whatever they want. What’s really disturbing is I feel like I actually wear — I have worn — outfits that are maybe revealing onstage. Like, I've been onstage in a sparkly bra and little shorts...which is my right. That's fine. I felt cool and comfortable in that."

"And like, that wasn't inappropriate? But me fully covered up in a dress that people deem to be, like, childlike, was inappropriate?" she questioned.

"I just think it just shows how we just really normalize pedophilia in our culture,” Olivia continued. “And also it’s just, like, this rhetoric that we’re fed as girls since we’re so little, which is, 'Don’t wear that because then a man is going to sexualize your body and it’s your fault.’ Like, it’s so weird.”

She went on to say that she didn't think she "looked sexy" in the babydoll dresses at all, noting, "I was like, 'This is so cool. I feel like I look like Kathleen Hanna or Courtney Love, all these people who are my heroes, and I felt cool and comfortable in it."

She added, “I just think if we start dressing in a way that’s like, ‘I don’t want some f****** freak to think that I am sexy like a baby’ or some crazy thing like that, I think it’s losing the plot a little bit."

Joe Jonas reveals he 'crashed and burned' while auditioning for 'The Morning Show'

Joe Jonas attends the world premiere of 'A Very Jonas Christmas Movie' at the New York City Center, November 10, 2025 (Disney/Jose Alvarado Jr.)

When they're not doing music stuff as Jonas Brothers, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas also act. But just because they're famous doesn't mean they get every part they go up for. In the latest episode of the brothers' podcast, Hey Jonas!, Joe recalls the time he blew an audition for an Emmy-winning Apple TV series.

Explaining why being early doesn't always work out, Joe told a story about auditioning for The Morning Show; specifically, for the role of a news anchor who'd be a love interest for one of the show's stars, Jennifer Aniston. Joe showed up early, so they put him in a private room. But that meant that while he was waiting his turn, he could hear all the other actors auditioning "clear as day" and got intimidated.

"These guys were crushing it," Joe recalled. "I didn't bring headphones so I'm just like literally sitting in silence, reading the lines ... and I go in and I just, like, crash and burn." It seems he made the mistake of saying he didn't need a script, then proceeded to forget all his lines.

When Nick asked him if that was his "worst" audition, Joe mentioned that something similar happened when he tried out for the part of Fiyero in the Wicked movies.

"There were, like, incredible theater vocalists I could hear, clear as day," Joe recalled. He didn't get that part either.

Nick then shared that he blew an audition when he met with the director, and asked him who was directing the movie. And Kevin Jonas revealed that when they were younger, he was told to his face, "I can clearly tell you don't have any acting experience."

Good thing they'll always have music to fall back on.

Music notes: Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and more

Ariana Grande has announced that the video for her new single, "hate that i made you love me," will be out Monday at 11 a.m. ET. She's posted a snippet of her riding in the back seat of a car, driven by a desperate-looking guy. Just as the video ends, we hear her sing one word of the song: "I."  The song itself drops Friday.

In other Ariana Grande news, her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo tells Variety that during the seemingly endless press tours for the two films, “I think that people didn’t really believe that we were actually friends. But that’s also because people don’t know me very well. If I’m a friend, then I’m a friend." According to Cynthia, she and Ari still text "almost every day."

For the eighth time in 11 years, Ed Sheeran is the most-played artist across radio, TV and public places in the U.K. According to PPL, which licenses the use of recorded music in that country, Ed's songs are played an average of 574 times per day, or 24 times per hour.

In her song "Adult Size Medium," Hilary Duff sings, "Was it a sip of wine or Aperol?" So it's not surprising that the orange apéritif is now an official sponsor of her upcoming lucky me tour. That means there will be Aperol Spritz Day Club pre-show experiences at select tour venues, bars and restaurants in cities Hilary visits. Plus, fans in select cities who are 21 and over can enter to win tickets to the show by registering at aperolsharethemoment.com.

BLACKPINK's dance video for "How You Like That" has hit 2 billion views; it's their third video to hit that milestone, following "Kill This Love” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”

Madonna describes the 'most respectful way' to listen to new album, 'Confessions II'

Madonna, 'Confessions II,' (Warner Records)

Madonna wrote on Instagram Wednesday of her new album, "Confessions II is a love letter to dance music and to all the spaces and communities that create it or enjoy it. The dance floor isn’t about a specific space or building, it’s wherever we gather to dance, celebrate and connect." But in the same post, she recommends that when listening to the album, people not gather together.

To promote the album, Madonna has teamed with Bilt.com, which helps members earn rewards based on their monthly housing payments. In a video to promote the partnership, Madonna is asked to describe the "ideal way" fans should listen to Confessions II

"By yourself, with nobody around and no distractions, from start to finish," she replies. "That's the most respectful way to listen to the album."

As part of her Bilt partnership, Madonna is offering Bilt members a version of the album with exclusive artwork. But perhaps the most interesting aspect of the partnership is that Bilt is paying one month of studio rent for every musician who is currently leasing space at The Music Building, a rehearsal space in midtown Manhattan where Madonna lived when she was a struggling artist with no money.

She says in a statement, "As much as I struggled when I showed up here with nothing, I look back very fondly on this time in my life. The creativity, diversity and community of artists all supporting each other while having the freedom to experiment is something I would have never experienced in another place.”

Members will also have a chance to win rent payments of up to $2,500.

Dale bald-e! Pitbull wants volunteers as he attempts to set unique Guinness World Record

Pitbull performs on ABC's 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest,' Dec. 31, 2025 (Disney/Christopher Willard)

Pitbull announced in February that he's going to try to set a Guinness World Record during his July 10 show at London's Hyde Park for the most people wearing bald caps in one place. But now, he's asking for fans to help him pull off the singular feat.

Pitbull's Instagram page and the page for the festival at which he'll be performing, BST Hyde Park, posted a request for volunteers on Wednesday. "In case you missed it, we’re going for a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title with Mr Worldwide, @pitbull and we need a squad of legendary volunteers to help make it official," reads the post.

"Your mission (should you choose to accept it): Count the shiny-headed Bald-es in the crowd and help us make history. Ticket holders and non-ticket holders are welcome to sign up."

"What are we looking for: Legends who can count. That’s literally it," the post continues. "What’s in it for you?
Witness a sea of bald caps in Hyde Park. Once the counting is complete, stay and enjoy Pitbull’s headline show. Be part of history."

You can sign up now to volunteer.

As for why he's doing this, Pitbull noticed in recent years that people of both sexes have been dressing up like him at his concerts, wearing suits and bald caps. After a U.K. radio station proposed that he try to go for the record, Pitbull and his team signed off on the attempt.

Speaking to The New York Times last June about why they were wearing bald caps, one fan said, “We have adult money, and this is what this generation is choosing to spend it on."

Vermont passes Noah Kahan-supported ticket resale cap bill

Noah Kahan performs on March 16, 2026 in Austin, Texas. (Robin Marchant/Getty Images for Netflix)

In Vermont, it's the season of the tix. Specifically, tickets that can't be sold for an exorbitant amount above their face value.

The governor of Noah Kahan's home state of Vermont has signed bill H.512 into law, which caps the amount for which a ticket can be resold on the secondary market at 110 percent of its original price. The bill, which Kahan testified in support of, makes Vermont the only U.S. state to put a cap on secondary market ticket sales.

"What's happening in Vermont is the first step toward what we believe is going to be a trend that continues," Kahan's manager, Drew Simmons, tells The Boston Globe. "I think it is foundational to shifting the economic landscape to be a healthier place for artists."

Arguing against the bill, Brian Berry, who represents secondary market sites including StubHub and SeatGeek as the executive director of the Ticket Policy Forum, tells the Globe, "We are fundamentally opposed to arbitrary price caps."

"We think this will not solve for concerns about higher cost tickets because people can sell them elsewhere," Berry says.

Kahan will launch a U.S. tour in June in support of his new album, The Great Divide.

Taylor Swift sends guitars to little girl and her musician neighbor following viral TikTok

You never know when Taylor Swift will see your Taylor Swift-centric content. That's what parents in Ohio experienced after a TikTok video featuring their young daughter and one of their neighbors went viral.

In the TikTok, an 8-year-old girl named Madeline hears her musician neighbor playing guitar on his porch. She writes him a note on a paper airplane requesting that he play a Taylor Swift song and throws it into his yard. After the girl's stepfather alerts the neighbor, Ethan Hayes, to the request, he plays "Love Story" as the little girl sings along while watching from her window.

The video quickly racked up millions of views — including one from Taylor.

As People reports, Taylor sent Madeline a guitar and a handwritten note, in which she told Madeline that she "brought the biggest smile to my face" with her request. She added, "I'm sending you your own guitar in case you ever want to learn too!"

Meanwhile, Taylor's team contacted Ethan and told him a gift was headed his way, as well.

“They're like, 'Hey, Taylor saw your video. We want to send you something. Don't tell anyone until it gets there,'" Ethan told People. "I was expecting maybe a signed poster or something. And then she sent us guitars, which is insane.”
